Since 2022, hundreds of CSEA members have gathered every year for a rally and celebration at our union hall. We've stood alongside our allies in the fight for fair wages, strong benefits and a state that prioritizes the working families who keep Connecticut moving - not the billionaires and corporations with no loyalty to our state. 

In 2026 we are coming back even stronger for a short session rally with long-term consequences. This year all of our seven State units plus our Childcare Council are in contract negotiations, while our Council 400 Retirees have been fighting for retirement security at both the state and federal level. On top of that, our paraeducators are fighting to pass legislation that raises pay, improves healthcare, gives access to a secure retirement, and allows paraeducators to collect unemployment insurance over the summer.  Not to mention that municipal and board of education members advocating for increased funding to raise wages and expand health and retirement benefits.

2026 is a critical year for our union members, and it will take all of us standing together to be successful. CSEA Day will play a pivotal role in this fight, therefore we are moving up the date to coincide with big pushes from Connecticut For All and SEBAC in March. Stay tuned for more information.
